In evaluating candidate companies for ownership, Renaissance is looking for three key attributes: 1) Strong growth characteristics; 2) A high degree of earnings momentum; and 3) A reasonable valuation for the company. If we can find all three of these factors, then we have an interesting investment opportunity.
A key distinguishing characteristic for Renaissance is our focus on reasonable valuation as a component in our selection process. For that reason, our portfolios consistently have valuation characteristics that look more attractive than a typical growth portfolio or relevant growth indices.
